China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC), one of the Fortune Global 500 companies and the largest aviation manufacturing enterprise in China, has signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in Beijing. The two sides will carry out in-depth industry university research and innovation cooperation in quantum technology, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology, aviation big data application technology, and talent cultivation. At the same time, both parties will jointly build the China Aerospace Science and Technology Quantum Technology Joint Research and Development Center in Hefei, Anhui Province.
Lin Zuoming, Chairman of AVIC, and Wan Lijun, President of the University of Science and Technology of China, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement between the two parties. Zhang Xinguo, Vice General Manager of AVIC, and Academician Guo Guangcan of the University of Science and Technology of China signed an agreement to jointly build the AVIC Quantum Technology Research and Development Center.

According to the agreement, the China Aerospace Science and Technology Quantum Technology Joint Research and Development Center mainly conducts research on quantum information technology and its application and industrialization in aviation technology fields such as navigation, communication, encryption, computing, and imaging, in order to build a bridge from basic research on quantum information technology to aviation application technology research, build a technology chain for quantum information technology research and development from electronic functional materials, electronic devices, preparation processes, etc., develop derivative aviation application products, and build a gathering place for first-class quantum information technology professionals and application research talents.
